Linda Sole Faul, originally from Long Island, New York, attended Mary Mount College in Boca Raton, Florida, where she received her Associate of Arts Degree. She completed her training with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
Linda’s inspiration for painting has become a passion; a desire for self expression, enthusiasm and inner peace within herself. Linda has mentored with Jake Gaedtke of Longmont for the last 11 years. She also studies with well-known artist Patti Andre of Loveland. Past studies include classes at the Taos Institute of Art with Ed Sandoval, Leigh Gusterson and Don Ward.
Linda enjoys painting subjects from across the United States; Southwestern themes, barns from the Northeast and the mountains and plains of Colorado. Linda has a personal painting style which combines realism with a touch of fantasy. She incorporates bright, brilliant colors into her landscapes. Linda also has begun to paint animals and pets and her signature ‘buffalo paintings’ are popular and sought after by collectors. Her primary medium is oil, although she has worked in acrylics, pastels and watercolors.
She has shown her work in Open studios in Boulder for the past eleven years, and participated in the Longmont Studio Tour through 2009. She is a member of the Mountain Valley Art Society, Longmont Artist Guild and Longmont Artist Registry. Linda has her paintings exhibited at galleries in Longmont, Boulder, Ohio, Florida, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and many private collections throughout the United States.
