Four Join the LCA Board of Directors


Debra Heiser, Marcelo Fernández, Heather Pawelek and Justine Witherspoon are the four newest members of the Longmont Council for the Arts Board of Directors.   Heiser is principal of Heiser Design, a graphic design boutique and certified WBENC Women’s Business Enterprise, based in Nevada and Colorado. She co-owns The Arts Factory in Las Vegas, Nevada, the cultural center of downtown in the 18b Arts District. She is a partner in the recently opened Bar+Bistro@the Arts Factory, which was named “Best Brunches in Las Vegas,” by the Las Vegas Weekly. Reading a great book called Disciplined Dreaming, A Proven System to Drive Breakthrough Creativity by Josh Linkner. A certain paragraph grabbed my attention about Jazz but it can easily be applied to Art as well! “Jazz, this fluid, improvisational art form, is all about taking risks and trying new things.
